Beautiful brown matte gravy/sauce boat from the renowned Hornsea pottery, designed by Lord Queensberry and Martin Hunt. Together in 1974 they produced this very successful range of tableware .
"Contrast" was one of Hornsea's most striking designs. It was in production from 1974 to 1987 and was their most successful range selling across the world.
In 1976 the Victoria and Albert Museum added it to their permanent collection in London and in 1977-1978 it featured in British Government design exhibitions overseas.

Hornsea’s Contrast was the epitome of contemporary popular ceramics in the 1970's. This stylish tableware easily competed with Scandinavian ceramics.

Gravy boat measures approximately 2 5/8" tall and 4 1/4" wide.
The saucer is approximately 6 1/2'' in diameter.

Oven to Tableware - Dishwasher, Freezer and Microwave Safe.
